If you want cheap, I'd go for something home brew. Doesn't require a
machine shop, just a few basic tools. There are many designs for various
antennas.
My dual band beam cost approximately $10-$15, mostly for the brazing rod
which was used as the elements. I got the boom from a friend who was
pulling some furniture apart, and the short lengths of coax were
insignificant. :)
For a 70cm monobander, it will be cheaper.
And it's nice to work the birds on something you've put together yourself.
