[amsat-bb] West Very Slow on TH-D7A Conversion

FWIW, I am not getting very good service out of Kenwood Service Center - 
West on the conversion of my D7A.  I sent it in on 07/11/00 via 2nd day 
USPS and started to get concerned when I had not hear anything.  Called 
them on Monday. 07/24/00, to make sure they even had it.  They confirmed 
they did.  They also indicated they were just about to work on it.  After 
not seeing it in the mail by today, Friday 07/28/00, I was once again 
concerned it was lost.  After all, I did sent in $12.00 above the $60.00 
for shipping it back to me.  My USPS 2nd day was less than $4.00!  I called 
them again today, 07/28/00, and they confirmed they had it and would work 
on it Monday and ship it out Monday, 07/31/00.  Hopefully I'll get it back 
by 08/02/00.  If I do that will make over three weeks door to door.  I 
almost sent it to Kenwood Service Center - East.  Now I wish I had.  They 
surely couldn't be any slower.
