Not sure I agree with this Bob. I think what is says is that the Kenwood
radios don't have TNCs as good as say Kantronics or Paccomm. My KPC-3+ will
regularly decode signals that barely break the squelch. The TH-D7A needs
nearly full quieting to decode and even then it sometimes won't.
I don't disagree with you about bad deviation being out there. But if a
KPC-3+ can decode a signal and a TH-D7A can't decode effectively the same
signal, then there is something wrong in the D7's TNC.
