[amsat-bb] Seeking Comments on the FT-847

I understand many satellite operators on the list use the FT-847 as one of 
their main satellite radios.  Yes, I've noticed some negative comments, but 
so many satellite operators seem to be using the -847 that I'm inclined to 
think it's pretty good for the purpose.

I'm thinking of buying an -847 as the primary rig for a new operating 
location.  Has anyone used the -847 on HF, as well as on satellites?  How 
well does it perform as an HF radio?  What problems, if any, have you 
encountered?
