RE: any solar storm updates

Yeah, I know the feeling. The past several aurora probably rocked over
asia but by the time they got here, there was nothing left. On the plus
side, "almost aurora" usually tends to mean good E skip the next day. Some
will debate the correlation but if there is none between the two, the
coincidence is uncanny. After the big aurora in april I worked VP6. Today's
wasn't as spectacular but W6's were loud so I'd wager I was putting a good
signal into some water grid in the pacific ocean someplace. :-)
I heard W7's were working (or maybe just hearing) VK's today on 6m.
Nothing out here however. One of these days/months/years/lifetimes.

Well, things had subsided by the time our evening came along. No visible
auroras or signs of auroral propagation were heard.
And reports coming in suggested the storm was abating by then. We rode out
the peak of during our daylight hours. :-(
