Last aurora I saw was during the great storm of 1989. That was a
spectacular red aurora which filled most of the sky. Auroras are rare for
us, as we're at 37S, not a particularly high latiutude.

It was awesome. :-) As I said, a nice backdrop for a bit of outdoor
satellite operation. :-)
