I tried again last evening (7/8, 0146Z pass) but I don't think you were on.
Only contact was KA2ECD, but that's pretty good for a 45 degree pass with the
19 in. antenna on the HT.

Actually, I was surprised, but that pass was not the loudest I've heard. The
loudest I've ever heard was last Saturday morning, when the bird sounded like
a local repeater for a few moments. I think local reflections have a lot to
do with it when we use marginal antennas. <s>
I'll try to be on the 1538 pass later this morning--Saturday.
