No, the reason is total disregard for authority (FCC) and I'll get my way
no matter what! The FCC rules were written to avoid this same
situation. Use minimum power to communicate. I grade school they also
taught me not to talk while others are talking. I guess the Big Guns are
excluded from common decency and the FCC rules. Why would anyone other
than a LID use a 100W and a long beam to access a bird that can be accessed
with less than 5W and a short handheld beam. I guess you makeup your
inability to operate with more power!

Place the LIDs where everyone can identify them with their own style of
operating procedure. Riley Hollingswoth made a comment at a hamfest that
it is proven that brain damage does occur due to RF. He mentioned an 80M
and 20M frequency, I guess he missed the frequency of the satellite as a cause.
