I have to agree with this 100%. The FD group that I was with was one of
the ones that was denied the 100 point bonus so that the high power
stations could get their 2 points per contact. You get to thinking that
too much power is being used when there are hetrodynes between stations
then the big gun comes on to monopolize the satellite with enough power
to fully caopture the bird from the one attempting a contact with lower
power. I think that the FCC rules still state minimum power to
communicate. If we all followed this rule, there wou;d be a lot less
interference.
