Yes the audio will be lower, the amount of audio you have available will
determine if it is enough. It has worked with my FT-847 mono speaker which
has a LOT of audio available. It also works for my Icom dual band handheld.
By the way, only 3 plugs are draining current, the fourth plug is the source
of audio current!
I have no doubt that a more complicated version could be designed, with an
amplifier, volume controls, etc. My post is just a very simple and perhaps
elegant solution to demonstrating the birds without feedback.
