[amsat-bb] FO-20 Success!

Hi gang!

I tried FO-20 with my backyard setup, 10 watt FT-726, card table, and Arrow antenna.  This time, I found Al, W3STW, in QSO with a station in MN on cw.  After they signed, I called Al and he came right back.  He lost me in the next exchange when I didn't adjust my transmit frequency for doppler, but I managed to get back  near his frequency and we resumed.

So there you have it.  You can work the FO birds with ten watts and a hand held Arrow antenna, at least on cw.  I may try ssb at some time, but for now, cw is all I can handle.

I really have to do some serious antenna work, though.  Sure don't want to be working from my back yard in the dead of winter.
