[amsat-bb] Louis Varney, G5RV, SK

Hi,

I thought you'd want to know that Louis Varney, G5RV, passed away yesterday.  
Details are on the RSGB web site, www.rsgb.org.  My first Mode A QSOs, in the 
early 1970s, were received on an antenna of his design, which I was happy to 
tell him about some years later.  Louis was also among the pioneers of the 
10m band.  We'll all miss him.
