RE: FO-29

Hi all,
First of all the beacon on FO-20 is working again - sometimes with modulation but
mostly only CW.
On both satellites the rule for your uplink power is that your own downlink signal should not
be greater than the beacon.
On thing that can be a problem is if you have right hand circular antennas. Both satellites
can have an attitude so that they send or receive best with left hand circular signals.

What a minimum station is ?
That depends - I have worked both satellites with indoor ground plane like antennas but for a limitted time of
a good pass. TX power was 15 W.
G8ATE, Robert, uses a turnstile uplink antenna indoors and a FT-847. He often puts out a very good signal.
