Hello Malcolm:

Thank you for your email. I am sorry if you were given misinformation
about the level of our involvement in the planned lunar missions.

As part of a sponsorship deal, RadioShack will contribute money to
LunaCorp., a small space exploration start-up planning to land a mobile
lunar probe in 2003. As a corporate sponsor, RadioShack's logo will appear
on the lunar rover, on LunaCorp's web site and on educational science
centers, which LunaCorp hopes to establish (on Earth).

I invite you to take a look at LunaCorp's web site (http://www.lunacorp.com)
to learn more about this exciting project.

Name=Malcolm M.Preston
Message=I read with interest your recent announcement regarding Radio
Shack's mission to the moon. The amateur radio satellite community would
be very interested in this project and would encourage Radio Shack to
consider the incorporation of an amateur transponder in the project.

I know our organization, AMSAT would be most interested in coordinating
discussion and can bring considerable expertise in the specifications,
design and construction of such a transponder.

Radio Shack is a very important friend of Amateur Radio. You supply
600,000 + amateurs in the US and Canada with a myriad of needs. We
appreciate your interest.
