[amsat-bb] Another TH-D7A Question

For someone who already owns a TH-D7A, what is the cost of the upgrade to
the (G) option?

AES is selling TH-D7A's for $399 and TH-D7A(G)'s for $449.

I must be mistaken, but I was under the impression that SW upgrades were
free.
