Hi Bob.
You're quoted at http://www.radiohound.com/diode.htm mentioning region
specific
SAW and LC filters on the TH-D7. Reading your last post is appears that
these
have a nearly negligable affect on operation of both TX and RX down to
430MHz.
I'm thinking of maybe buying a D7A with the 'G' mod and importing it to the
UK.
Another question to everyone: anyone know of the 'G' mod on a TH-D7E? Just
bought
my second one, and this 'MkII' version marketed in the UK will do KISS, but
won't do full duplex split RX/TX on the TNC, so still no good for satellite.
Spoke to Kenwood who have so far indicated that the 'G' mod won't be out on
the D7E.
Should've bought a D7A when at Dayton 2 weeks ago, and got it mod'ed on the
spot!
73's, Howard G6LVB
