It's not ONLY a 9600 baud upgrade to the TH-D7A, it ALSO is now capable of
operating cross band so it is no longer just a RECEIVER for the birds. Now
you can work the birds with the TH-D7A. They also made it KISS compliant.
For those who don't know, it's now called the TH-D7A(G). It will be
available from Kenwood probably after June 1st for $60. It adds a BUNCH of
good stuff to the radio.
