SUNSAT OPERATION THIS WEKKEND

NO COMENT:

SUNSAT Amateur Transponder operation resumes

Last week ham operations were cancelled due to high satellite temperatures
caused by the current satellite orbit orientation. Tests were performed to
find workable solutions to the temperature problem. These tests have been
succesful and the satellite temperature has been reduced by changeing the
satellite orientation and spinrate. Weekend amateur operation will be
resumed this weekend.

Applications for the Bronze, Silver or Gold awards for contacts via Sunsat
must go to SA Amsat. Applications for QSL cards should still go to the
Sunsat Lab address.

Dates and starting times (UTC) are given. Duration is 14 minutes per pass.
All passes are descending, ie evening passes. Please suggest changes if you
wish.
