Thanks Tony. I made four contacts this weekend, all on RS13. Limited by my
antennas right now, best I can figure.
The RX side 3 element Yagi does fair except when the bird comes overhead.
Makes sense. Going to try and wire dipole for that side sometime this week.
The TX side I don't seem to be able to get "in" except during a short peroid
of the pass when the bird is close to my QTH. Funny, when I do get in well
I can go way back on the power and still hear myself very well. More
tinkering on this antenna setup.
By the way, I made some 10m SSB contact on the FT-847 today and got real
good reports on it. Kinda surprised me a little bit. It seems to be a
pretty good rig on 10m anyway. Now to scare up some SSB contacts on 2m down
here in LA (Lower Alabama).
Thanks for the help and suggestions to everyone. Have a good week!
