Hi Richard.
I posted a similar meesage on the FT847 Bulletin Board about the GS-232
about three months ago. The response was that the GS-232 had fewer features
and was more expensive.
I had tried to get information on the GS-232, what features it provided,
etc., without any luck. I really still don't know what its abilities are.
In the end I built a FODTrack and saved myself $300!
