Doesn't  an Amateur callsign have to be assigned to a person or an
organisation, and wouldn't the assigning a callsign to the ISS be assigning
it to a "thing" or a location?

............. seems strange to me.



also........

Pity the Russians weren't as fast with the completion of their module as
they were with  assigning a callsign.  Maybe if they were then we would be
making contacts already.
