Re: tnc

Hi Greg,

I use the Spirit 2. It took me a bit of time to get it right. The first
unit was defective and it was a while before I satisfied myself that it
wasn't my fault and sent it back in. PacComm quickly sent a replacement.
It worked fine out of the box.

The PacComm manual is very complete, but I found it starts from a higher
knowledge level than I possessed. There are many jumpers - clips and solder
that can be changed for different things. The instructions are confusing
cuz its hard to visualize just how the thing works. If you take the unit,
make sure the baud rate jumpers are set for 9600. Then it should work fine
for KO25 etc.

It was fun and educational to make it work. I use it with an IC 821H.

Good luck. 73's,
