here are two passes of uo-14, one yesterday evening and one this evening.
if you would like to listen to them, here they are...

you will find one station that winds up increasing his power to overcome the
satellite and never responds to anyone which means he can't hear the
satellite. very poor practice. if someone in arizona knows him, he could really
use an elmer. email didn't help, i tried that yesterday. today, besides
arizona, there was a station in georgia doing the same thing.
i received email from a couple of hams who have become so frustrated with
this type of behavior that they are not going to use the bird and have gone
back to the linear birds. i guess this is good since there are a bit fewer ops
on it. but it is really a shame. i make a couple of contacts and sit back and
am amazed when i hear someone phonetically spell their name. do they do
that on their local repeaters too?
i was going to ask if everyone would stand by for qrp stations. i heard a few
in the breaks. but my 50 watts would not make it in, sorry guys.
