OPAL first connection

Hello OPAL fans

Having some difficulties with their ground station, the Stanford University
team asked some hams to try to connect to OPAL. After many unsuccessfull
tries during the week-end, I finally logged in at 21:24 UTC on Jan 30 2000.
According to Jamie, "You were the first to make contact! Wow! <snip> The
status data looks excellent. Much better than I hoped!"
Good news.
The text below, received from OPAL, is becoming one of my favorite QSL cards
:+))

Cheers
