Dead G-5400 et al

After reading the N8DEU/KB5MU discussions, I have taken
Tim's idea on delta movement and have coded "stall" control
into the UNI_TRAC system. If delta movement has not occurred
for a number of counts under specified drive conditions, then rotator drive
commands are inhibited permanently and a "Stall Warning" is
generated. The fault must be cleared and the microcontroller
reset to clear the condition.

The above will protect against a mechanical stall anywhere in
the rotator's range of movement. This will also provide protection
against open or short circuited feed back lines. The rotator will
not run to either of the extremes if feed back is lost.

Limit switches are the ONLY safeguard against stuck relays,
short circuited Triacs, or short circuited manual direction switches.

BTW the hardest part of repairing a burnt out unit is delaminating
the motor..
