I am a DIRECTV subscriber as well .... also very disappointed ....

Give http://www.broadcast.com/events/nasa/ a try .... considering there's
not a ot of fast moving action ... and granted the picture is small ...
it's not that bad at 28.8 with a Pentium 90 ....

Doubt if the wife or the kids would let me have that on the tube all day
anyway .....
