P3D is receive only on this freq. All you need is the ability to transmit.
A transceiver and preamp are not needed. This will be a very popular
uplink freq. as one of the two receivers will always be turned on. Of
course the transceive capablity/preamp are fine if you want to use your
setup for terrestrial use, but it won't help with P3D to be able to receive
1.2 Ghz.
