[amsat-bb] UALR Callsign Server

While not strictly a satellite related message,
We sometimes like to mark the passing of an old 
friend. According to a message posted on the 
UALR callsign server this morning, it has been 
shut down. I know many of us have used it over 
the years as it was the first such server 
available on the internet. Now there are many 
more. But how many new hams aver the last 4 or 
5 years have learned of their new callsign and 
were able to get on the air immediately because 
of the UALR folks.

Thanks to those at UALR responsible fro the call-
sign server. It was one of those things that so 
many talented people do to make this hobby more 
enjoyable for the rest of us.
