I think quite a few missed exactly what Jamie was asking. "Is it possible,
from a engineering point, to have a satellite with 6m capability?" You are
correct when you say there's no need when 10m is available now. I feel that
6m will continue to be fine for VHF DXing and some FM work but we'll never
see a satellite sub-band.
