There was another scene in the movie showing a brief closeup of a radio
(looked an awfully lot like a FT-990).  You could read the frequency
very easily from the digital display.  It was a frequency in the 40
meter phone band.

Hmmmm...one has to wonder if the Technical Advisor on this movie was a
licensed amateur.  :-)
