OK, for the benifit of all out there, any 40-channel SSB CB radio based
on the uPD858 or the PLL02A synthesizer chips can be put on 10 meters
just by manipulating the divider program pins and carefully retuning
the rig. The PLL02A thinks in binary, the uPD858 in BCD. I know for a
fact the 858-based rigs will cover clear up to 30.0 with retuning. I
had one in my car for years that covered 26.5 to 29.0, and it was a
better RX than my HR2510. I think the MB8719 PLL can also go quite a
ways up, but I don't have any experience with this one.

Or, if you're lucky enough to find an old HyGain 674/674A 23-channel
SSB CB with the companion 675 VFO, just retune the VFO and the radio
for whatever portion of 10 meters you want. And clip the famous
"yellow wire" in the VFO to enable transmit if you want. Instant Mode
A downlink rig.
