I tend to run across deals like this at the smaller hamfests and the
odd estate sale/auction.  Recent scores at an estate auction:

IC502 portable 6-meter SSB - $35 (mine)
TR9000 2-meter allmode - $75 (mine...now)
HR2510 new in box - $80 (not mine, went to eBay)
Mirage B108 2 meter amp - $70 (IIRC.  Also not mine)
various other HF gear, recievers, antennas, etc, that also went dirt
cheap.

If only I woulda had more money that day...
