Bob's list is good. Here's a few extra "helpful hints" for the newbie on
analog birds. The data below are suggestions for mode/freq. and
approximation of Doppler corrections:
SAT UPlink DWNlink MODE RCV XMT
---- ------------- ------------- -------------- --- ---
AO10 435.03-435.18 145.81-145.98 SSB
listen for beacon around 145.805 - 810. If you don't hear it, don't transmit
CW activity 145-850 - 890, SSB activity 145.890 - 950
435.100 LSB = 145.904 USB +/- 3 kHz Doppler
AO27 145.85 FM 436.800 FM YES YES!
Only the strong will survive. Not for the faint of heart on FD.
If you don't hear the bird full-quieting, do not transmit. If another bird
is in view, work it instead.
Listen 436.805 at start, moving to 436.795 at end of pass.
FO20 145.90-146.00 435.80-435.90 SSB
FO29 145.90-146.00 435.80-435.90 SSB
CW frm 435.820 - 435.850, SSB from 435.850 - 435.895.
Expect both modes & much confusion 435.845 - 435.855 due to colliding signals
145.950 LSB = 435.855 USB at start of pass moving to 435.845 at end (FO-29
moves very fast)
RS13 145.96-146.00 29.46-29.50 SSB
Also 21.260 - 21.300 = 29.46-29.50 SSB
Listen for beacon around 29.458 before transmitting.
CW from 29.460 - 29.480, SSB from 29.480 - 29.500
145.485 USB = 29.490 at start of pass and moves to 29.480 at end
21.285 = 29.487 at start of pass and moves to 29.483 at end
RS15 145.86-145.90 29.354-29.394 SSB
Not recommended for newbies. Listen around 29.375 for CW, 29.380 - 29.385
for SSB. Mucho uplink and good downlink antenna required.
