RE: Why UO120 on ax.25 for UoSAT-12 ?

Correct - well done.

We have 3 OBCs so you will from time to time see UO120, UO121, UO122 with th
corresponding -11, -12 SSIDs etc.

Subject: [amsat-bb] Why UO120 on ax.25 for UoSAT-12 ?

Hi all,

I am wondering why the UoSAT-12 denominated as UO120 on ax.25 ?

My guess is..
SSTL's mini satellite bus is capable of carrying more than one PCEs.
It's required to distinguish them, but SSIDs are not enough.
Therefore, 'UO120' is new nomenclature for mini bus sats.
The position of first figure(0 for UO120) is eigen number of PCE,
and the left part(UO12 for UO120) show the satellite.
