[amsat-bb] Rumored band auction

I got the following from a Ham this morning:

"Anyone heard that the 904 - 920 band has been sold at auction?  Got
that as a rumor from a friend this morning.  Details, use, purchaser?"

The rumor came from the telecommunications/PCS community so there MAY be
some validity.  Does anyone know how I could verify/disprove this?
