I heard Sputnik RS18 (?) on the 0515UTC pass from grid square EM12. North 
Central Texas while standing in the rain.
     
Equipment:
Icom W32A HT
Arrow Satellite antenna
     
Frequency was 145.810.
     
The signal varied from very hard to copy to full quieting.
     
It said "1998, the year of International air and space"
     
Very cool.

Possible to get a QSL card?
