Spoutnik 41

Congratulations to all concerned, especially to Gerard Auvray, F6FAO ,
Sergej Samburov, R3DVR, and many others who made this project possible and
to the Cosmonauts, Commander Gennady Padalka and Flight Engineer Sergej
Avdeyev who successfully launched this new Sputnik from the Mir Space
Station!
Spoutnik 41 was received well in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Tuesday November
10, 1998 @ 04:26 to 04:30 UTC on 145.8125 MHz. Two separate voice messages
in 3 languages were heard:
" International Space Education Satellite Program"
			and
"1998 was the International Year of Air and Space"
Each of these messages was followed by beeps, and a short steady tone.
It is hoped this Sputnik's voices and beeps/tone will be heard around the
world for many weeks!
