Just tune in 144.39 on APRS packet and you can work the world live!
Well actually only about a few thousand in the USA and one or two in
Japan, Madrid, the UK and Australia, but it is growing overseas. You can
chat live from only an HT and your laptop. ITs all automatic. You do not
need to know anything about routing. And if you dont have an antenna you
can at least monitor the traffic with a WEB browser at www.aprs.net or
www.aprs.org Good luck.
