Here is a story the Morrock News Service carried today: 

U.S. SAYS NO. KOREA `MISSILE' WAS SATELLITE: When
a North Korean rocket flew over Japan and splashed
into the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. and other nations
accused North Korea of provoking potential conflict by
test-firing a missile. North Korea insisted that the
device was a not a weapon but a rocket  carrying the
country's first satellite into orbit. Now the U.S. has
moderated its position, agreeing that the two-stage
rocket launched Aug. 31 did carry a  satellite instead
of a warhead, but insisting that it crashed instead of
achieving orbit.--MORROCK NEWS SERVICE
