Its like painting a sphere--how much paint is required to 
cover a 23000 mm sphere vs. a 600 mm sphere, keeping the
thickness of paint constant?  I suppose you could even do
an experiment with little pieces of paper glued to beach/golf
balls--how many squares of paper does it take to cover
