Vernon Balloon eXperiment 2

On August 8th, 1998, VBX-2 (Vernon Balloon eXperiments 2) will be launched.
Last year the package was a crossband repeater on 446.00Mhz input &
146.52Mhz output. Once again VBX-2 will include a crossband repeater on the
above stated frequencies and it will also include a APRS beacon on 144.39.
VBX-2 Will also be visible via on javAPRS at Steve Dimse's (K4HG) page in
Florida at www.aprs.net. Launch time will be 19:30 GMT (10:30am pacific
time) from the Watson House, Vernon, British Columbia. Talk in and
coordination in the Vernon area will take place on the Silver Star repeater
(146.88-). Please check the VBX Website (http://www.junction.net/norac/vbx)
for more info as well as a notice on launch day with an expected path that
VBX-2 will take.

Please note that Vernon is 5 hours north/east of Vancouver BC.
