Triana -- Al Gore's satellite to look at the planet --
appears to be moving ahead, for good or for ill. This is
being billed as an educational mission, with "student
participation" a top priority. Is AMSAT in a position to
climb on board with an amateur radio payload? The camera
idea may be lame, but if NASA is going to lauch a vehicle
with a purely educational mission it could be right up our
alley! NASA's official "Announcement of Opportunity" (all
74 pages of it!) has been posted at this web site for any
who might seriously wish to pursue the idea:
