I've got a couple:
- Use message quoting sparingly; only quote as much of the original as
necessary to clarify your comments.
- Don't post a question to the list unless you have visited a few
search engines to try to find the answer yourself first.
- Preface the subject line of off-topic messages with OFF TOPIC so
those that wish to may easliy filter or ignore....
- As my mother used to say, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say
anything at all".
I've forwarded a couple of articles on Usenet (yes, I know this isn't
Usenet, but a lot if it applies...) posting etiquette to Richard for
his perusal. Interested parties may drop me private mail if they would
like a copy.
