SWR & FT-736r

Hi All,

Does the FT-736r attenuate output power automatically in the event of high SWR?
(2M, 220, 440, 1.2)

I want to use a multi-band discone until I can get my beams up.... and I
dont want to fry the rig (duhhhh!)!!  Should I do this (I dont have a SWR
meter)?
