Watch out for local oscillator spurs and unwanted signal paths.
Imagine what happens if 3 watts from an IF rig is only attenuated
by 70 dB when it hits the input of -25 dBm to +13 dBm amplifier.
(Poorly designed single board transmit converter)

RF design is much easier when you put each circuit in its own
shielded box with filtered supply leads.--Zack W1VT
