The Clubhouse Bistro

Caffe Florian

Fukuya

Central Business Districts
There are two nearby central business districts (San Mateo and Foster City) that offer dining, entertainment and shopping. There are no free shuttles but there is taxi service and ample parking.
San Mateo
San Mateo has a central downtown business district (3rd through 5th streets) that has over 200 restaurants that offer culturally diverse cuisine from every part of the world. Downtown has a new 12 screen cineplex that opened in 2004, and there are live music venues in the area. The downtown district is located approximately 4 miles from the Crowne Plaza. A taxi to the hotel to downtown will cost approximately $15.
There are five other business districts including the Hillsdale Shopping Center, which has over 130 retail stores anchored by Macy's and Nordstrom. There are 23 food concessions. The mall is located approximately 2.5 miles from the Crown Plaza and is serviced by the Foster City Connection RED LINE, which is a free shuttle operated from 9:30am to 3:30pm weekdays. samTrans Bus 251 is also available and operates from 6am to 7pm weekdays and 8am to 7pm on Saturday. Fare on samTrans is $1.50 for adults and 75 cents for seniors. Both also service the Hillsdale CalTrain station across from the mall.
Foster City
Foster City has no central business district however there is a small shopping center on Edgewater Blvd. that has 8 dining concessions. It is located approximately 1.25 miles from the Crown Plaza. If walking cross the 92 Freeway via the Vintage Park Dr. Bridge and turn right onto Metro Center Blvd. When Metro Center crosses Hillsdale Blvd it will turn into Edgewater Blvd. Restaurants are located about 1/2 mile beyond this point. This area is also serviced by the Foster City Connection BLUE LINE, which is a free shuttle operated from 9:30am to 3:30pm weekdays. samTrans Bus 251 also follows this route and operates from 6am to 7pm weekdays and 8am to 7pm on Saturday. Fare on samTrans is $1.50 for adults and 75 cents for seniors.
