Detailed Description

From the IARU Sat Coordinator:
A micro-satellite for amateur radio purposes is planned. Payloads will include a CW Telemetry Beacon, Linear Transponder, FM repeater and a Digital Store-forward Transponder. The operations will all have 70cms downlinks and 2 metre uplinks. 500mW output is planned. The satellite is expected to have a mass of 60 kg and be launched from China into a sun syncronous orbit with a 1200km apogee. The launch is now planned for December 2009 and the CA-1 designation has been updated to XW-1.
